Boutique cruise line Variety Cruises is offering a new mega-yacht experience for passengers featuring three-night/four-day and four-night/five-day Greek Island mini-cruises from winter to spring in 2018, 2019 and 2020. These mini-cruises are designed for travelers planning to visit Greece who are short on time, allowing them the chance to explore some of the more famous of the Greek islands on a small ship cruise.

Both the four-day and five-day cruises will depart from Athens and sail through the Greek Archipelago, making stops in Aegina, Santorini, Delos, Mykonos, before returning to Athens for disembarkation. In the span of only a few days, guests will have a chance to immerse themselves in Greek island culture. At every port there will be ample time to visit and explore the respective islands at leisure.

The mini-cruise kicks off with a welcome dinner in Aegina, known for its beautiful beaches, charming fishing villages, tavernas and archaeological sites but without the crowds. The next day guests can take an optional full-day excursion on the island of Santorini. While there, they will have an opportunity to visit one of its beautiful coastal towns, Oia, and see its sunsets.

The next stop is the island of Delos, a UNESCO World Heritage site, renowned as a mythological, historical and archaeologically rich destination. There will be an optional excursion to the open-air Archaeological Museum of Delos, or guests can explore this archaeological treasure on their own.

The five-day mini-cruise includes an overnight on Mykonos, often called Greece’s glamour island with its nightlife. It is also known for its picturesque towns, landmark row of 16th century windmills and fantastic beaches. This itinerary also includes a visit to the island of Syros, a place rich in history, art, music, architecture, and folk culture. The captain’s farewell dinner will be held in the port at Syros to end the mini cruise on a high note before disembarkation in Athens.

Guests booking these cruises will sail on the Callisto, a small motor yacht. The Callisto has 17 cabins located on the lower deck and the main deck. All cabins are comfortably arranged and well furnished with wooden furniture and light fabrics. They all have marble-appointed en-suite bathrooms with showers and are equipped with windows or portholes.
