4 Day Heliskiing Adventure in Northern Iceland

Family Travel Concierge has recently teamed up with Heliskiing adventure to offer an experience of a lifetime. The owner of this company is a former skiracer with the Icelandic national team. He participated in three Olympic games, six World Championships, winner of the Junior WC in Chamonix 1998, three times Oceania Champion, raced in many World Cup's and over 30 times winner of the Icelandic Championship.

In terms of heliskiing, there are few places in the world with as many possibilities as the Troll peninsula. The area is vast and largely unexplored. The skiing slopes are truly unique, with a panorama view of amazing slopes waiting for their first descents.

Prepare for different skiing conditions; fresh powder skiing, skiing in the stable spring corn snow, which is perfect for steep and extreme skiing and more exposed lines than you normally find where avalanches are more likely. Our vertical drop is up to 1500m or approximately 5000 ft. in the unbelievable Arctic mountains.

During winter you can ski until it is dark and watch the majestic northern lights dance in the sky.

Björgvin would like to offer the group 4 day heliskiing package. Each trip is led by a professional heliskiing guide and every guest is equipped with an avalanche transceiver, probe, shovel and avalanche backpack. There is one guide per group of 4. So if the group is 16 people there will be 4 guides and 2 helicopters.

In the description of the tour it says that all guests will stay at the newly built and exclusive Luxury Viking Heliskiing Lodge. The heliskiing season starts in March so the lodge wont be open when your group arrives. However if they would like to stay there it wont be a problem. Please nota that the lodge can only fit 16 pax in double rooms.

A better option might be to stay at Sigló Hotel, it´s the best hotel in North Iceland and our clients have been very satisfied with their stay.All skiing equipment is provided by Viking Heliskiing. They recommend that theirr guests bring theyr own clothing and skiiboots.
